LeBron. Brady. Jeter. Even the greatest athletes of all time needed coaches. Great athletic coaches see things in you that you don’t, or can’t, see in yourself. They give athletes an unbiased opinion on where they stand and guide them to emphasize strengths and to compensate for, or eliminate, weaknesses to put them on track for success. Great coaches understand not only the athlete, but also the playing field, the equipment, the competition, and the rules of the game.

Coaching for for your career is no different. Great career coaches can help spot the strengths and weaknesses in your presentation of yourself to employers and help guide you towards successful outcomes. We don’t “place” you in a job any more than an athletic coach could “give” you a win. You still have to go out, beat the competition and earn it yourself. However, I can give you the tools, knowledge and expertise to put you in a position to succeed and allow you to place yourself into the job of your dreams.

I use the term “coach” to describe my services very intentionally. The job search process is, essentially, a game. You have to know what to do and when to do it, you need to understand the rules to the game, and you need to recognize that, just like on the playing field, if you don’t obey the rules and perform at a high level, you won’t win.

Unemployment for recent college graduates is very high but, from my experience, the majority of those who are unemployed or underemployed are in that situation largely because no one ever taught them the right way to conduct a modern job search. They don’t know the rules of the game, they are playing with outdated equipment and, with limited work/life experience, are not on a level playing field with the competition.

I can give you the equipment, skills, insider tips–and most importantly, confidence–that will level the playing field and put you in a position to succeed.

It has often been said that if you find a job you love you’ll never work a day in your life. Finding a career based on your definition of success, preparing for the search and landing that first “career” job is my goal for all of my clients.

Anyone can find some job. I’ll help you find your dream job.
